What each input means
- Slab / grid length: Enter the measured value and choose the matching unit (ft, in, yd, m, cm).
- Slab / grid width: Enter the measured value and choose the matching unit (ft, in, yd, m, cm).
- Bar spacing: Enter the measured value and choose the matching unit (in, ft, cm, mm).
- Edge cover: Enter the measured value and choose the matching unit (in, ft, cm, mm).
- Stock bar length: Enter the measured value and choose the matching unit (ft, in, yd, m, cm).
- Lap per stock-bar splice: Enter the splice length required by the project drawings; zero means no lap is added.
- Rebar size: Choose the option that matches the project: #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8.
- Cutting waste: Enter the project value in %.

COMMON MISTAKES
Checks that prevent bad estimates
- Mixing units or entering a measurement in a different unit than the selected field unit.
- Using a planning default when the exact manufacturer or supplier specification is available.
- Rounding intermediate measurements too early instead of rounding the final purchase quantity.
- Ignoring waste, compaction, cuts, laps, settlement, or full-package rounding where the project requires them.
